Happy Friday!

This week, I remained focused on protecting the future we are building both here at home and across America. From securing federal resources that strengthen our communities to investing in the research that will protect Florida’s way of life for generations to come, I worked to ensure the next generation inherits a country strengthened by the investments we make today to prepare for the challenges ahead. As the fate of America’s future come into focus, the choices we make now will shape what comes next. That is exactly why I will continue fighting to make certain that our district and our country are moving in the right direction.

This week, I was proud to announce nearly $1 million in federal funding I secured for Eckerd College to strengthen marine research focused on protecting Tampa Bay’s waters. For a coastal community like ours, understanding what is happening in the water is critical to getting ahead of threats like Red Tide before they damage our environment and way of life.

This investment gives Eckerd scientists and students the tools to do that work right here at home and help preserve Tampa Bay for generations to come.

America Will Never Surrender to Socialism

The debate over what kind of future we want for this country is becoming impossible to ignore. Promises of “free” programs may sound appealing, especially to younger generations, but a nation increasingly dependent on government risks surrendering the independence and individual liberty that have always defined America.

Our Founding Fathers envisioned a country of free people, not citizens dependent on the state, and I will continue fighting to preserve that freedom and ensuring America never becomes a socialist country.

FEMA Funding For FL–13

This week, FEMA announced more than $2.6 million in Hazard Mitigation and Public Assistance funding for Pinellas County to aid hurricane recovery and strengthen resilience against future storms. The funding will reimburse critical recovery costs while advancing a hurricane safe room and backup power at the Logan Utilities Operations Center in Largo.

Alongside FEMA's funding, I will continue working to cut through the red tape to secure the federal support and every available resource needed as Pinellas continues rebuilding. 

 Service Academy Nominations

Service Academy nomination applications for the Freshman Class entering in 2027 remain open for students in Florida’s 13th Congressional District, and my office is proud to help facilitate the process.
